Sentosa Island

Singapore’s good-time island is dedicated to unabashed fun, from ambitious theme parks and a breathtaking aquarium to zip-lines, fake surf and cool beaches . Sentosa Island bills itself as the “fun state.” With such a myriad of activities, it’s hard to argue with that. Travelers can take a nearly 600-foot high skytrail to the 19th century Fort Siloso, walk on beaches, visit a butterfly preserve, go for nature walks, take in a marine mammal show, ride bikes or get up close and personal with birds. The place has something to interest everyone. The new jewel in the crown on the island is Resorts World Sentosa, an enormous complex comprising of Universal Studios theme park, S.E.A. Aquarium, a casino and shopping malls. With this location, attractions obviously center around the sea: Marine Life Park, Dolphin Island, a water park and an aquarium. Other attractions include Universal Studios Singapore and nightly entertainment. The fun starts before travelers arrive since the easiest way to get there is to take the Singapore Cable Car. Visitors also arrive on bikes and cars.
